yesterday ı found this interesting kit; discover silk painting! the history of silk painting back to the 3rd century BC. These examples are tomb paintings, found in Ch' ang-sha.
Silk became available through Central Asia as far as India, the Silk Road was established. As the world trade routes opened up and silk became more widely seen in the western world, its importance as a trading commodity increased.
